The name is a branding the guys have given themselves, after seeing what people thought of their ideas to become musicians. Cam's thoughts: "When you tell people you want to be a musician their respect for you goes down, its like they think you want to be a musician because you don't want to work, it's not like that." The band started off with the name "BLIND STEEL", but decided to change as the title sounded to 80's (tight jeans, black shirts, metal). The next name after a member change was "ADRENAL", named after the adrenal gland. Band's thoughts: "It was a cool name, being named after the gland in the body that produced adrenaline, it was like we were producing adrenaline". The final decision of the band was "SINISTER CREED", as they thought it suited them best. Band's thoughts: "We were different once we got into our music, we live for music now, all we do is music, school is just this big long shit break between practice. We do feel like we, and all other musicians are in our own little Sinister Creed, we are the so-called bums that are doing nothing for our society. But really we are bums one minute and the next (when you hear something you like) we're great musicians." "Being a disliked musician is being a bum?
